Innovation in Space Award

The ‘Innovation in Space Award‘ has been launched to celebrate projects and organisations which have been implemented in the last 2 years and are at the forefront of innovation and creative thinking within the European space and space technology sectors. Awarded on an annual basis and open to companies and projects from EU/ESA Member States, the award seeks to recognise the contribution and impact that an organisation or project has had on the space industry and on society more broadly.

The award will be presented by Timo Pesonen, Director General for DG DEFIS, European Commission.  The winner of the award will be selected by a panel of expert judges consisting of independent industry experts and thought leaders. Participants at The European Space Forum will also get a say through an audience vote. Nominees will be judged on the unique and innovative nature of their product/service, but also on the impact that they have made on the sector and broader society, their relevance to an existing or emerging market, their long-term feasibility and scalability; and the potential that they may have for inspiring future innovators within the sector.

Nominations are now open! For more information or to nominate a specific organisation or project, please download the nomination form below. The deadline for nomination is Friday 15 October.
